Age Aptitude Questions
Practicing various types of aptitude problems is extremely important for the TCS Digital exam. One of the types of the problems is related to age of individuals. For example, the problem might state the ratio of the age of two people. The question might provide the sum of their ages and then ask us after how many years will the ratio of their ages become a particular value. In such types of problems it is important to consider the variables as the age of the people mentioned. Then when we apply these variables in the relationship of the sum of the age that is provided to us, we will be able to find a part of the values. The next step will be to frame the relationship so as to represent the question that is being asked. For example, in this case, the question is after how many years will the ratio of their ages become that particular value? Hence the variable that we have to consider now is the number of years that is being asked for. On adding this variable to the age of both the people, we will be able to get the ratio that is given. Then on solving this equation we will be able to find out the required number of years. I realized with more people the equations can become more complex. What if we have to find the ratio of their ages after not a fixed number of years, but of different years for each one of them? I wanted to keep myself ready for such challenging problems.

Time and Distance Questions
Questions on time and distance are always important for the TCS Digital exam. Many of the times the problem is related to a car travelling at a particular speed. For example, a car may be fined for exceeding the speed limit by a particular amount. Another car may also be fined for exceeding the speed limit by twice that amount. Now, if the speed of the second car is given, what is the actual speed limit? Such cases we have to consider a variable by which we will be able to form the relationship between the cars and the speed limit. Since the speed of the second card is given using that, we can find the speed limit. This is because we know by how much the second car was exceeding the speed limit, i.e., it was exceeding the speed limit by double that of the first car which is given to us. The TCS Digital exam requires us to solve these type of problems effectively and quickly. Being able to solve such problems effectively demonstrates our strong aptitude skill which is required for the TCS candidate selections. I have been practicing problems on relative speed and I knew that they were important. So I wanted to make sure that I do not lose this opportunity of scoring good marks in the TCS assessment questions on relative speed. Scoring a good mark on relative speed is important to have an overall good marks in the assessment section of the exam.

Number Skills and Arithmetic
A particular type of problem from the number system I found especially interesting for TCS Digital exam. The problem is related to the number of wheels of different cars and vehicles. For example, if there are 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers parked in a particular place, we have to find the number of 4-wheelers if the total number of 4-wheelers are given to us. This type of problem can become more complex if there are 3-wheelers or 5-wheelers added to the question. In such type of problems we have to consider a variable that the question is asking for. Accordingly, we have to form the equations using the relations given to us. Then on solving these equations we will be able to find out the number of vehicles that the question is asking for. This is a kind of problem that is based on a real life scenario. This type of problem can be formulated in a park or a busy railway station or any social and public place. Hence this problem suited me perfectly when I wanted to practice various different real life scenarios. I tried to modify this question to different scenarios and then solve them with different types of vehicles that the interviewer can ask. Questions on different types of vehicles are very common in different types of aptitude tests. There can be multiple different types of scenarios that can be asked using vehicle and wheels type of logic. So it is important to be confident and prepare on these topics for the exam.
Average Aptitude Questions
Practicing questions on average is important for the TCS Digital exam. For example, the question may provide us with a few persons who are different ages. The question mentions the average age of this group of people after two years. Then the question says if another person joins this group of people, their current average age becomes a new value that is given to us. Now we have to find the age of this new person. In such type of problems we have to form a relation between the value that is given to us and the value that is being urged in the question. For example, if the total age of the people initially is given, we have to try to somehow relate that value to the value that is being asked for. For example, here it mentions the age of the group of the people after two years, and then again asks about their current age. In such cases, we have to make sure that we consider the age at the particular time it is mentioned. If the age talks about a value that is two years later, we have to make sure we do not confuse it with the current age. Or, for example, if the age talks about a value that is in the past, we have to make sure we form our equations accordingly. With proper formulation of equations it will be very easy to get to our answer.
Time and Work Questions
Questions on time and work are equally important for the TCS Digital exam. For example, we may be provided with two persons, out of which one of them is several times more efficient than the other person. This value of how many times one person is more efficient than the other person may be provided to us. Now the question says that this more efficient person can complete a work a specific number of days earlier than the other person. Now we have to find how many days it will take if they start working together. Here we have to consider a variable which defines how many particular days one of them can do the work. Now using the efficiency that is given to us, we have to form an equation and then compare it with the difference in the number of days in which they can finish the work. Solving this equation will provide us the number of days in which each of them can individually complete the work. Once we have this value of each of their individual number of days, we can find how many days it will take if they start working together. This can be found by identifying how much work they can complete in one day and then using that value to find out how much time they will take to complete the whole of the work. Solving such problems of time and work are especially important in aptitude tests like the TCS Digital exam.
Number System Series Questions
Questions on the number system are also often related to various series. Sometimes a list of different numbers may be given, and some of the numbers may be missing in the middle with a question mark given there. In such cases, we will have to find a pattern in which the series was being framed initially. Only in such cases where we can find the pattern, we can find the missing numbers in the series. Such problems and series can sometimes become very complex when the change in the numbers of the cities are defined by another particular series. The series may be progressing or incrementing by values defined in that other series. Once we are able to identify how the series is being defined, we can find out each of the numbers in the different positions of the series. The question might ask us to find a particular missing number in the third or fourth position. For more complex problems, the question might ask us to find out the value in a position far away in the series. For example, it can ask us to find the value in the series in the 70th position. To find the answer to such questions, we will require to definitively understand how the series is being formed. Often it takes time to solve these types of questions and so I made sure I can solve this type of questions quickly to be ready for the actual exam.
TCS Age Aptitude Questions
In problems related to age, we may be asked sometimes to find the youngest or the oldest member in a group of people. For example, the problem might mention that one person is older than one person, another person is older than another person, but younger than this person, and so on. It can then mention that one particular person is the oldest and then finally it can ask us to identify who is the youngest member in this group of people. Solving such questions require us to take a quick note of all the information that is given in the exam to us. As we gradually form the equations by using the greater than and less than signs between each individual, the entire picture of the relation between the ages of the different people will become clearer to us. We will be able to find out the sequence of the ages of the different members in the ascending order descending order. Using this information we will be able to answer any question regarding their ages. Such types of problems can sometimes become more complex if we are provided some age comparisons in the future or in the past. In such cases, we will have to form the equations accordingly and they may become slightly longer. Longer equations will take more time to solve, and time is something that is very crucial in an aptitude exam like the TCS Digital.
Percentage Aptitude Questions
Problems on percentages are important for the TCS Digital exam. For example, a person might give a percentage of his income to his wife. He made then give a percentage of the remaining amount to each of his different children. Out of the remaining amount, the person now spends half of it on miscellaneous items. And the question then provides us the remaining amount of money that he had left with him. The question finally asks us to find out how much money did this person have initially. Such a type of a problem might require us that we consider a variable that will indicate the initial income of this person. Then using the different percentage values that is given to us, we may gradually find out the remaining amount he has left at the end. Since the remaining amount the person has at the end is a value that is given to us, using this value we can form a relation and accordingly find the amount that the person initially started with. Such types of problems can become more complex if the person spends his income in various different places. The more the number of places the person spends his money in, the more the number of equations we will have to deal with. It is important that we frame the equations accurately because this will determine how we find the actual value of his income at the end. Every step of the equations and calculations that we do will need to be accurate so that we get the correct and appropriate answer.
TCS Calendar Aptitude Questions
Another type of question in the aptitude test can be related to the calendar. For example, we may be mentioned in a particular month of the year, it has exactly four Mondays and four Fridays. Then the question might ask us to find out what day of the week will a particular date of that year will be. So we can see with the number of Mondays and Fridays given for a particular month, we will have to find out what day of the week is another particular date of that same year. For such types of problems, we need to be extremely clear how many days are present in every month of the year. Also we have to have clear concepts on leap years and century years. The question can also ask us to find the day of the week of a particular date from the next year or a previous year. Such type of question will require us to solve a few more steps of calculation to get to the answer. It is also important that we take into consideration if these are century years. Concepts of century years and leap years are very important. The number of days in different months might affect us during these types of years while solving the aptitude questions. I wanted to be able to solve all types of such questions related to days of the week. I found these types of problems can be of a variety of types and they made sure I practiced enough of them before my TCS Digital exam.
Time and Distance Problem
Problems on time and distance are always important for an aptitude exam. For example, we may be mentioned in the question that one car leaves a particular point at a particular time at a particular speed. Now, after a particular amount of time the question might say another car leaves the same point and is driven in the same direction as the previous car. Now the question might ask us, in how much time the second car will be a specific distance ahead of the first car, if the speed of the second car is a particular given value. This is a question on relative speed. We have to find how much distance the first car has travelled. Then we have to find the relative speed between the two cars when both of them are moving in the same direction. Using this relative speed, then we can find out at what time they will meet. Further, as per the question, then we can also find in how much time the second car will be ahead of the first card by that particular given distance. I wanted to be very good at solving this type of problems and so I practiced a lot with a variety of such different real life scenarios. I wanted to make sure that I am confident and able to quickly solve any type of questions related to time and distance.
